Welcome to the 2022 season of Tahoe Community Sailing Race Team
Hello all and welcome to the 2022 season of the Tahoe Community Sailing Race Team. As we get ready for the summer, here are some upcoming dates for laser races and away travel events:
Pacific Coast Championship: Santa Cruz, CA; August 12 – 14
Laser Championship: Stampede Reservoir; September 10 and 11
Totally Dinghy Regatta: Richmond Yacht Club; September 16 – 18
NOTE: The Tahoe Yacht Club Race Team and the Foundation will cover most of the expenses for traveling races, lodging, food, etc. You are responsible for your registration fees and other incidentals.
New this summer for the Race Team, if you are keeping your laser at the Lake Forest area, you will have to display a Tahoe City Public Utility District (TCPUD) Sticker on the stern. Each boat will be registered with the TCPUD by serial number and these stickers will be provided to you by the coaching staff at no cost. Please note, any boats without a TCPUD sticker will be impounded by the TCPUD Parks Department. Boats must be kept on a dolly, stored, and covered neatly so as to protect boats and equipment.
Our Sailing Race Team meeting for all members will be held at the Tahoe Yacht Club on Monday, June 13 at 5:00pm, please be there! You have not done so yet please register for the Junior Race Team here: https://www.tcpud.org/parks-recreation-department/recreation-program/youth-programs/tahoe-community-sailing/junior-race-team
The Tahoe Community Sailing Foundation covers the Tahoe Yacht Club race service fee for your participation in the Monday evening laser races. You must have correct sail numbers on your sail and be registered with the TCPUD before racing. This also applies to Pico Team Sailors as well.
Thank you all and we look forward to seeing you Monday, June 13!
